Bhargava leads engineering and AI at Phiny. He graduated from IIT Kharagpur as the silver medalist — top of his class — in a dual degree that had nothing to do with software: B.Tech in Mining Engineering with an M.Tech in Safety Engineering and Disaster Management.
Then he switched fields. Over the next decade he built machine-learning systems at Citi, led the Applied-AI team at GoKwik, built credit-risk models at Scienaptic AI, ran data products and curriculum at the ed-tech SkilloVilla, and was Director of Data Science & Analytics at Appreciate before joining Phiny.
That path — a student from a non-CS branch who broke into AI on the strength of preparation, not pedigree — is the exact journey Phiny exists to make easier. The interview practice, the honest guides, the field-switching paths on this site: he is building the tool he wishes had existed in 2015.
